What Inspires the Process at ELD |

A Moodboard of Movement, Memory, and Making |
At Emily Lindberg Design, our work begins long before pencil meets page. It starts in movement—in nature, in reading, in dance, in gardens, in quiet rituals that return us to what matters. Each project we take on has its own distinct point of view, but behind all of them is a devotion to place, care, and curiosity. Today, we're opening up the studio to share what’s inspiring our process now—books, practices, and textures that make their way into our work, even before the first presentation. |
Creative inspiration often shows up in motion—through doing, making, and exploring without expectation. These are some of the practices and places that help us reconnect with intuition, deepen our respect for materials, and stay grounded in the joy of process over perfection. |

Moments of experimentation—not for mastery, but for freedom |
“It’s important to get to know materials with my hands. I’m no expert in any of it—but trying, failing, building—that’s where I feel most alive.” |
Ideas come from many places—but often, it’s words that spark the clearest images. These texts are dog-eared, highlighted, and returned to often—they’re as much a part of our design practice as any drafting tool. Wanderlust by Rebecca Solnit (a companion from my NYC walking years) |

Want to See How It All Comes Together? |

While inspiration often begins in quiet, unseen places, we'd love for you to explore where it all leads. Our portfolio is a reflection of thoughtful collaboration, storied materials, and the belief that beauty should be both felt and lived. |
