Dearest flower friends,

Ah, summer. The days feel stretched and soft – filled with blooms and brides, and as my first summer back in California – lots of beach and backyard bbq's.

I've been enjoying some regional travel and lovely quality family time lately. As the Coldplay song so famously remarks, life is feeling utterly yellow these days – and in the best of ways:

Mustard fields overflowing along the highway in Playa del Rey, golden pine pollen dusting a light coating on every single surface in Lake Tahoe, and blooming cactus flowers scattering across the Dr. Seuss-esq lands of Joshua Tree. The overgrowth is palpable. It tastes like summer.

On the East Coast, we’ve just wrapped a string of dreamy weddings in New York City led by our fearless designer, Caroline. It's been such a joy to continue flowering for our clients in the city and for brides we adore. I am grateful to have had an excuse to return back East every few months and to witness each distinct season of New York since moving last July.

Back in LA, we've been delivering blooms and soaking in the slower pace. As we move through these bright days, a quiet reminder to stay soft and alert—recent ICE raids in LA call us to care deeply for our neighbors and keep each other safe. Let there be (sun)light during these dark moments.

With love,
Em

happy summer.
Warmly,
- Emily
