Hi friends,
I am so glad I asked my friend in the goals group what was going on because once she shared, she gave permission to me and other group members to share the same feeling.
You see, I noticed that my friend, let's call her Mais, was not sharing as usual, and coaches reading this know that this was not a good sign. Yes, we get busy, and that's life, but not sharing anymore is usually a red flag.
My friend shared she was experiencing anxiety due to the many commitments of June and the not-very-promising prospects of time for herself with the many social events of summer and kids off from school.
Luckily, she was not alone, and you are not!
My morning writing sessions last week focused on exactly that!
As kids finished school and loved ones started to arrive, I began to feel anxious about the many changes in routines and the numerous happy occasions we would have. Yes, anxiety about happiness! But you know it's not about happiness; it's about the uncertainty of how my days will look like and the many prerequisites of getting ready for July's occasions and a trip I will take.
So, I started pondering how to make the next few weeks easier by
journaling about it every day. One of the things that came up is to order what you need early, make lists, sit down and do online shopping, or decide when you will go shopping. Set aside time for planning and time for implementing those plans.
Another journal answers were:
- Keep decluttering to enjoy your house.
- More time for meal planning.
- Get clothes that match your current size; don't keep waiting for your size to go back like it was for your important occasions. It will, eventually (hopefully), but I don't need to stress about it.
- Define the minimum of your morning and evening routines. For example, the minimum of the evening routine is kids' 1-sentence journal, and the very minimum is Basil's journal.
What about you?
What can you do now to make summer easier if you're experiencing some anxiety like me and my friends?

Let's cheer each other!
