“The dream is an involuntary kind of poetry.”
-Jean Paul Richter

Hi friend,

I honestly can’t believe I’m writing this. For months, many of you’ve have shared with me, “I would love a DreamyBot app!" and I kept giving a variation of “okay, working on it!”

Well, I finally have a big update to share:

I’m letting this all sink in. What started as a personal experiment turned into something so much bigger, something that’s helped over 120k+ people understand their dreams, and maybe even themselves, just a little better. Every message you’ve sent about DreamyBot helping you spot a new insight or move forward in life warms my heart, truly.

After collecting your feedback and requests, DreamyBot is coming to iOS and Android next month, and here are some of the new features you'll find:

1. Dream Logs & Discussion Management
An obvious one! With the option to create a personal account, you can save all of your dreams and discussions with DreamyBot as well as pause and revisit them at any time.

2. Memory Bank & Recall
Another top request. DreamyBot will have memory of your past dreams and discussions to offer more personalized interpretations tailored to you. It will help you make connections across your dreams you may miss. You can review and edit DreamyBot's memory of you at any time.

3. Dream or General Discussion
We just decided to add this feature recently for version one! So many of you have shared that you use DreamyBot beyond dream interpretation. This addition will allow you to choose which type of chat you want to have and keep those discussions in a separate tab from your dream discussions.

4. Expanded Dream Insights
In addition to being able to pause and revisit your discussions, expanded insights will provide you with a summarized analysis, assign key visual symbols, emotional tones, and themes along with a tailored reflection or journal prompt, and an aligned action you can do in waking life.

5. Personal Dream Dictionary & Symbol Insights
This is one of my personal favorites. DreamyBot will automatically track symbols, themes, and emotions from your dreams and put them in your personal, evolving dream dictionary. You can further explore any of these symbols to deep dive on how often it occurs, what that symbol may mean for you personally based on all of your dreams as well as how it tends to manifest and what waking-life connections seem to be related on how this symbol appears.

6. New Interface and Advanced Models
The entire look and feel DreamyBot is undergoing a pretty big transformation. This new version is a native app and designed especially for mobile. The user experience will be greatly improved. We will release a dedicated desktop app after this.

If you have wished for any of the above, this is a great time to preorder with early supporter pricing. These early days matter, and the people who show up first are a big part of what makes this possible. Early supporter pricing is nearly 40% off regular pricing (and the rate is yours to keep as we continue to add features!) and you’ll get early access on July 29th. If you're interested, that offer ends July 6th. More information about that can be found here.

I won’t lie, building this app has been a journey. No surprise, I had my fair share of anxiety dreams throughout. There’s something a bit poetic (and honestly, kind of hilarious) about using DreamyBot to work through stress about DreamyBot. 😅 It’s all pretty meta, but it really did help. That’s only reinforced for me how powerful this tool can be for all of us. I'm still running DreamyBot largely solo and the growing pains are real. I want it to be perfect for you. I've designed and redesigned the app experience several times now and I am so excited to get it over the finish line.

Thank you for your support and encouragement on this project. I hope you will give this new and improved experience a chance.

Sweet dreams,
Rebecca

P.S. The free version of DreamyBot isn't going away, this new version just greatly enhances the experience!
From Rebecca's Personal Dream Log
February 2025

I (28F) had a dream that I was in a confusing maze of rooms with either a single friend or family member. In the maze, I kept trying to find another friend/family member but every time I would find one, the one I was just with went missing and then I had to go find them. I could never have more than one friend around without losing another one.
