Hey First name / there,
Georgi from Cobot here!

Conceptualizing, planning, and creating your content on the same day it goes live can not only result in repetitive themes but will probably also be incredibly exhausting.
Believe me, I am still traumatized from creating 2x TikToks a day back in my e-commerce days…

On the other end of the spectrum, if you think that your content can be planned months in advance, you're probably missing some great opportunities to promote your space by jumping on current local (and global) topics.

So what's the solution? For me, semi-structured calendars with bi-monthly post planning sessions. Let me explain why, after this brief webinar announcement :)

Why do you need a content calendar 📅

To put it simply, a content calendar:
  • Visualizes your content strategy
  • Saves time with batch planning
  • Keeps posts consistent, yet avoids repetitiveness
  • Tracks performance
  • Helps meet deadlines
  • And much more…
Here's how to make a good one:
Plan ahead (but not too far) 🤓

I have found creating a content calendar for the next two weeks (or two times a month), the perfect balance between random posting and content, that is too structured and misses key current topics. Try it for yourself and tweak if needed.

Use this calendar as a guideline. You should always be able to switch the dates of your posts if something very current comes up, like a promotion from a local partner, an event you spontaneously organize at your coworking space, or, quite frankly, if you don't have the time to create a more complex post.
Balance in posts and topics ⚖️

Having a content calendar gives you a bird's-eye view of what your content will look like in the next (for me, two) weeks. This allows you to see and avoid patterns, such as posting 5 videos in a row, followed by no videos at all, or focusing all your blog efforts in a couple of days and overwhelming your audience.

Balance in content is important for your engaged followers, and your engaged followers should be important to you!
Recycling old content ♻️

Hey, recycling is very important. 🌎 Content recycling – maybe not as much, but still great if you are running a social media page.

Having a content calendar (with historical data) enables you to find spots where you can refurbish or simply repost old posts that didn't perform as well.
Which apps to use 📱

Using a post-planning app and filling it with ideas gives you the freedom to collaborate, plan in advance, and bulk-create content.

At Cobot, we use Notion Calendar, since we already work with Notion, but I have also used Later in the past, which allows for auto-posting and some other social media-specific tools.

There are likely hundreds of social media scheduling and planning tools available that can meet your needs perfectly. If you want, you can also get away with using good old Excel (Google Sheets).

EXTRA tips

Batch your content creation: Spend 1 hour making 3–5 posts.
Ask ChatGPT to repurpose old posts into new formats.
Save great posts as templates and reuse the structure later.
Keep a running list of content ideas in Notes or Notion.
The topic for next week is:
"The Brand Identity of Your Space" 🧑‍💻
