After 5 years of procrastinating, I finally did it.
I learned how to bake sourdough.
I bought a sourdough kit off Amazon last year, and it's happily lived in our kitchen's upper cabinets. It was a “one day” purchase…
…until my friend waltzed into my house with some of her sourdough starter for me on Saturday. No turning back now.
My poor friend didn't realize she signed herself up to be my sourdough coach, as I kept her up to date with every single detail of the process for 48 hours straight.
💬 “DEFINITELY needed to discard a lot hahaha I forgot that was a step”
💬 “Okay she's stretched and folded I think!!!”
💬 “I fear I used WAY too much starter”
💬 “Okay I feel like I did something wrong but I'm baking it anyway LOL”
💬 “IT TASTES SOOOOO GOOD 1000% worth the effort”
Those were just a few texts I sent my sweet and patient friend. 😂
Could I have figured it out on my own? Sure, but at the rate I was going, I probably would have put it off for another 5+ years.
Having someone walk me through the process, encourage me when I got stuck, and answer questions that popped up made all the difference.
What if you had that for your marketing, First name / friend? Maybe marketing feels intimidating for you the same way sourdough did for me.
Maybe you're procrastinating on that strategy that you KNOW will make a difference (like email marketing, SEO, Pinterest, etc.), because it feels overwhelming.
And I don't blame you—new things typically bring challenges (cut to me literally manhandling my dough all day Monday).
The best thing you can do for yourself and your business? Ask for help. My
60-minute strategy sessions are the perfect place for you to get clarity, ask your questions, and receive your own step-by-step game plan so marketing feels less intimidating, more exciting.
Sourdough was less overwhelming once I understood the steps. Your marketing is the same.
