Happy 4th of July weekend!

 

As I begun drafting this note, it soon turned to a Substack post of its own making. Tl;dr: I'm going offline next week, aka *activating analog mode*, and I invite you to, too.

 

In other news, life feels fully saturated right now – the city has come alive with colors, and our florals this week reflected as much. I've recently taken up long walks around the neighborhood (while not-so-subtly trying to convince my husband our lifestyle is perfectly suited to get a puppy….) and I am in continual awe of the gorgeous foliage and landscaping across Los Angeles. Bougainvillea! Jacaranda Trees! Cacti! Palm Trees! Grasses! Wild Asparagus! And my very favorite, California Poppies. 

 

These daily walks have become a feast for the eyes and soul that continually inspires my designs. What a gift to live surrounded by such abundance. What's growing local in your neighborhood? I'd love to know.
