What started with “Get Q'd In: Advance Your Mission By Engaging LGBTQIA+ Donors”, a 101-level presentation on the basics of engaging Queer donors, is expanding with the more advanced 201 version “Get Q'd Up: Grow Your Fundraising Program By Including LGBTQIA+ Supporters" as an AFP Global webinar on July 17 at 1p EST.

Investing in Your Leadership

With all eyes on your community's LGBT community center and organizations, it's critical to assess: are our allies actually investing in us, or are they tokenizing us?

 

The fact is, most ally organizations mean well; they just don't know how best to invest in the LGBTQIA+ community. And there isn't one right or best way to do it! That's why you need LGBTQIA+ people a part of your organization's leadership who are helping make decisions. Because if you want to fundraise from and for the Queer community, you need Queer board members.
