Hello, First name / my friend!
I don't know about you but it is beach read territory in my part of the world. Because I always have multiple books going once, let me give you the list of what I'm currently loving:

  • Cash by the always-delightful Jessica Peterson. I've nurtured a quiet love of cowboys since Lorelei James and the McKay family.
  • Ready to Score by Jodie Slaughter--I won't miss anything with Friday Night Lights vibes and I LOVE a good teacher-vs-teacher romance.
  • Learn to Love You by Jade Hernandez--if the Walshes were cowboys, which is messy and angsty and wonderful.
I'm also waiting (quite impatiently) for the release of my dear friend Kathryn Nolan's newest, The Thrill of the Chase, on Tuesday.

Two bits of bargain basement news:
  • Shucked is discounted to 99 pennies for the ebook until Tuesday
  • Amazon US is offering the Change of Heart paperback for less than four dollars, which is unbelievable. No clue why it's so low or how long it will last or if they're just trying to unload some funky copies they forgot in a hot storage container along with some pool chemicals and garlic powder, but do with this info what you will.
And finally, a (unedited!) sneak peek from my next release--no title yet--coming this fall.

That was how it always was with him. He’d find me in any room, any crowd, like he just knew where I was at all times. And there was always something about the way his brow would edge up when I returned his gaze, like he was saying, “There you are.”
It’d been like that right from the start. When he was this arrogant new kid who looked at me like he knew a secret about me that I hadn’t yet discovered for myself, and I couldn’t be bothered with his motorycylcle and his disdain for…everything. I went out of my way to ignore him but it was as though the universe had no regard for my preferences and forced us together time after time.
And it was happening all over again.
