Hey First name / there, Let’s talk about helping your members become natural social media ambassadors. We all love it when members post about their coworking space. It’s genuine, joyful, and gives others a glimpse into your community. The challenge? It doesn’t always happen on its own. However, with the right nudge, it can become second nature and a new channel for member acquisition. Here’s how to make it easier for members to share their experiences, with real examples from spaces doing it well: |
|
📸 Design Instagrammable Spaces Most Instagram users post photos and videos regularly, and over 60% of them use the platform to follow or research businesses (West C., 2025). That means if your space looks good on camera, it is more likely to be shared and can also attract new attention. werkhain in Friedrichshain does this effortlessly with bold art, industrial architecture, and cozy, well-lit corners. You don't need a full renovation; sometimes all it takes is a statement wall, a well-placed mirror, or your logo in the right spot. 👀 Curious how they do it? Next week, we'll share werkhain’s tips on drawing inspiration, member feedback, and making design work for real coworking life. |

🎊 Celebrate your members’ work At workish.berlin 🇩🇪, the “Things” wall showcases creative projects by members, and their “ Makers Show & Tell” events encourage people to talk about what they’re building. These moments of recognition do more than boost morale; they give people a reason to invite others into their world (and their social feeds). We especially love what Lenny from workish shared on LinkedIn: “First it’s an idea, then it’s a thing. We recently launched ‘things’ at workish.berlin – a new initiative celebrating creativity and collaboration within our coworking and FabLab NK community.” You could set up a small spotlight area in a common space or feature members in a newsletter or Slack thread. Recognition drives engagement. |

🎤 Host events worth talking about When members genuinely connect, they’re more likely to share their experiences online. Toolbox in Turin 🇮🇹 is a great example. Their calendar includes everything from summer parties to pizza nights and masterclasses in the FabLab. If you want to learn more about how to host unforgettable events, check out our in-depth interview with their community manager - Stefania Pasquarelli. Want to spark more interest? Try hosting something unexpected: a community talent night, a silent disco, or an “ask me anything” with local founders. Real moments = real posts.

🌟 Encourage user-generated content with light incentives You don’t need to hand out freebies, but a little encouragement helps. Highlight member posts on your own feed or newsletter, or set up a monthly shoutout for your favorite tagged story. Some spaces even run low-stakes contests like “best desk setup” or “favorite corner” to spark engagement. If you want even more low-effort ideas for busy coworking operators to drive engagement, we’ve previously shared 10 content ideas in our newsletter. It's full of quick wins you can put into practice right away. When it feels easy and appreciated, members naturally become your best advocates. |
