We’ve officially entered July, and the energy is powerfully beginning to shift. The Sun is still in the watery, emotional, inward waters of Cancer, along with expansive Jupiter, but things are stirring—heat is rising and sparks are beginning to fly.

Mercury is officially in its retrograde (Rx) shadow, slowing down each day ahead of its upcoming Rx in Leo on July 17th. Get ready to revisit themes around heart-centered leadership, creativity, joy, pride, and self-expression. If you're already starting to notice the places where you second-guess yourself or hesitate to be seen, you’re not alone. Trust the process.
Venus is building to a conjunction with Uranus at the final degree of Taurus on July 4th, which is an energy that can bring disruptions or sudden shifts to relationships, money, values, and preferences. Venus and Uranus are meeting together just before they both move into Gemini.
Venus rules Taurus, so this meeting at 29° feels extra potent—like an electric shock awakening something or setting it free. Uranus energy can feel exciting or destabilizing, but its meant to activate a deeper insight that you might not otherwise see.
Neptune stations retrograde the same day, July 4th, in Aries—inviting a rewiring of dreams, intuition, and illusions. I see this Rx in Aries as an invitation to face where we avoid fully stepping into ourselves. Where we override our inner guidance or hesitate to initiate our deeper purpose out of lack of clarity or confusion.
Neptune spends about 14 years in a sign, and this is the first Rx since entering Aries in late March. Part of its retrograde journey will take us back into the watery depths of Pisces this October—to the final degree of the zodiac—which can help us retrieve a deeper, soul level understanding of ourselves and dissolve whatever still feels unresolved before Neptune re-enters Aries in 2026.
Neptune has been loosely conjunct Saturn since spring. Their exact conjunction isn't until February 2026, but they’ve been moving closely together the past couple of months. Saturn stations Rx later this month as well, and both will return to Pisces later this fall before making their forward move into Aries for good.
Together, these two planets in the first sign of the zodiac have been bringing responsibilities, blocks, and reality checks (Saturn) to the dreams and visions (Neptune) we're trying to initiate in this Aries area of life. It might feel harder than expected, which can feel disheartening. But I like to think of this year as the setup phase, where we're still gathering the pieces and being challenged to work through delays or setbacks with patience and self-trust.
Then, on July 7th, Uranus shifts into Gemini—the first time it’s been there since the 1940s. Uranus is known as “The Great Awakener” and is associated with innovation, technology, breakthroughs, and change. It will will dip back into Taurus this fall before settling into Gemini for good next spring, but this is our first real taste of the next 7 years of Uranus in Gemini.
Uranus is thought to be tied with the collective consciousness, and in Mercury-ruled Gemini, it feels like it’s about to open up a surge of ideas, thought transmissions, and new ways of learning or communicating—on a level we haven’t quite tapped into before. Plus, our local environments might start to feel a lot more active!
All of this energy is building toward next week’s Full Moon in Capricorn on July 10th—a moment of illumination around long-term goals, structures, ambitions, and legacy.
