Thank you to everyone who supported The Run For The Kids!
We would like to say a big THANK YOU to all our runners, walkers, partners, and volunteers who supported Wipe Out Kids' Cancer at our annual Run for the Kids last weekend. We could not have done it without you.
Thanks to our corporate partners who made it possible
A Night For Warrior Dads At The Ballpark
Some of WOKC's Warrior Dads enjoyed a night of baseball at the Royals vs Rangers game at Globe Life Field on June 17. The dads enjoyed some great baseball from a suite, delicious food, and had a chance to bond with other dads who also have a child battling cancer.
Live, Love, Pop: WOKC Flavor
In 2013, Lauren B. Mariel founded LIVE LOVE POP™ after losing her mom to a rare form of breast cancer. LIVE LOVE POP!™ is a healthy, homemade popcorn brand where each flavor directly contributes a portion of its proceeds to a different nonprofit organization. Lauren loved WOKC's dedication to pediatric cancer patients and their families and chose us as their non-profit for the Dill Pickle Flavor. For each bag sold, a portion of the proceeds goes to support our mission.
“I want to do something—something bigger than myself, something that could bring comfort not just to our family, but to others facing their own battles.” -Lauren Mariel
Deloitte Impact Day is an annual firm-wide day of service where Deloitte professionals volunteer their time to support local non-profits. For the third consecutive year, over 70 employees chose WOKC for their volunteer efforts. The group spent the morning packing Buddy Bags, writing encouraging notes to kids and parents, and cleaning out our storage space. We commend Deloitte for their community efforts and thank the dedicated employees who worked so hard to help us!
Offering comfort and hope to kids with cancer through support programs serving the entire family and funding innovative research leading to new discoveries and treatments in the fight against pediatric cancer.
