Back from England and shopping today! I'm grabbing everything from dorm essentials for my daughter and re-stocking some of my favorite things (LANEIGE Lip Treatment, Tree of Life Skin Care Set, Crest 3D Whitestrips, SOL DE JANEIRO Bum Bum Cream) and grabbing gifts (STANLEY Quencher, Amazon Kindle Paperwhite) on Amazon Prime Day.  I just noticed my favorite travelling sneakers in the world are on sale (Dr. Scholl's Sneakers) and I've been eyeing this (Skylight Calendar Wall Planner Digital Calendar) up for ages, though it's a bit of an indulgence so not sure if I'll pull the trigger.

When I decided to write a short story prequel for the box set as bonus content, I had no idea Rystan and Anwen would touch my heart and turn into a full-blown novella which will release on its own next month. The Knight School Chronicles box set is my way of reviving excitement around a series that many readers still haven’t discovered. Including To Cherish exclusively (for now) makes the set extra special. I actually conceived and wrote the prequel as a bonus short story, but once I outlined the plot and fell for Rystan, it grew into a full novella.

 

Absolutely. To Cherish will release as a standalone ebook in August, so longtime readers who already own the other books won’t miss out.

 

Total transparency… historical romance is in a bit of a slump right now. With TikTok ushering in a wave of newer subgenres, medieval and Scottish romance aren’t trending. Many authors have stopped writing it altogether to stay afloat. But this genre is my first love, and I’m not ready to let it go. Until the tides turn again, I’m doing what I can to keep it alive by writing new stories, trying creative launches, and doing what it takes to get these books into the hands of new readers.
