Howdy First name / Friend,

This week…I filmed my Knit Stars class!

**A quick note before we dive in, Instagram is down right now as I’m writing this! So if some of the links below don’t open, don’t panic. They’ll work once Instagram is back up. And if you’re looking for something to scroll while we wait for our feeds to return… well, I’ve got you covered right here with this newsletter. Enjoy!

Thank you for all your feedback about where I should set up my filming spot. I was so tunnel-visioned on using a different wall until your comments made me see things from a new perspective. You were right and your feedback really shaped my set. I’m so grateful for you all.

Honestly, I’m still processing the last few days. Filming this class here in my hometown of Rutherford, NJ, running into old childhood friends on the streets, getting to see the amazing GG the night before filming it’s all felt a bit surreal.

But when the cameras finally turned on I was surprised by how prepared I felt. There were a few jitters to shake out in the beginning (naturally!) but once we got going, we were cooking with gas. I think you’re really going to have a fun time with the final class, I know I did.

I couldn’t have done this without your encouragement along the way. It means so much to me. I can’t wait for you to see the class this fall! Keep your eyes on my newsletters and Instagram @bobbleclubhouse. I’ll share when enrollment opens again.

What I'm Crushing on this week…crepes & life lessons

My Gamma, Olivia Adams, was an expert in the art of homemaking and she passed that hosting gene down to my mother. I used to mock them both for it as a kid, as they would run around the house prepping for any and every guest we had. But as it turns out, the apple did not fall far from the tree.

I woke up on filming day only to realize: I am them. Suddenly struck with an overwhelming urge to make crepes for Shelly & Brad, of Knit Stars, when they arrived. Had I ever made a crepe before? Nope.

“What gave you the confidence? Delusion.”

The first crepe was a total disaster, too thick, and I didn't twirl the pan in time so it ripped in half. But I scrapped it, tried again, and by the third go I had a plate I could actually be proud of.

If that isn’t life, I don’t know what is: sometimes the first crepe flops. That doesn’t mean you’re not capable. It just means you have to twirl, adjust, and try again until you find your groove.

All of this has me wondering…what’s something you’ve held back from trying because you feared not getting it right the first time? The truth is, you probably won’t. And that’s the beauty of being a beginner: the first crepe never looks perfect, but each one after can only get better and better.

The Lotus Beach Bag Spotted in the Wild!

And to top off an already amazing week, I woke up to a beautiful surprise… seeing a new version of the Lotus Beach Bag out in the wild! 🧡 Big shoutout to @LoopySuz (Suzanne) for making and sharing her beautiful version. Here’s what she said:

“When I saw this gorgeous Lotus Beach Bag pop up in my feed, I knew I had to make one. This is the perfect beach bag for a super stylish vacation accessory or a walk downtown. It’s definitely a showstopper. The pattern is easy to follow and works up beautifully in just a couple of days.”

Reading that honestly made my whole week. Seeing you make and love my patterns is my absolute favorite thing and it's why I do what I do, so keep tagging me!

xx, Samantha

P.S. Shelly (the dog/my roommate) was the real MVP of the day! She was calm, charming, and stole many scenes from me in front of Brad’s camera.

As I'm writing this she’s still waiting by the front door for her new Knit Stars friends to come back!
