It is that exciting time of the year again, the beginning! A new season is upon us, and it is with great pleasure that we announce our NEW Updated Range of seeds for the 2025/26 growing season.

❂ Our website is freshly updated for the new season ❂

As always, all our seeds have been germination tested, and we have crafted variety descriptions for our new selections:

14 NEW varieties this year, plus 2 NEW homegrown products.
Not to mention some old favourites we have back again.

First, we have had white sage seeds in our range for some time, now that the plants have established themselves properly, we have been able to harvest the sage as well. We have always made our own sage sticks and given them away as gifts, but this year, there was so much plant material, Roddy decided to make a lot of the foliage into White Sage Smudge Sticks.

As you may be aware, white sage is indigenous to Southern California in the USA and northern area of Baja, Mexico. The popularity of this plant has led to over harvesting and sometimes eradicating from these areas where it has grown in the wild for thousands of years. Buying sage smudge sticks online can be aiding in the poaching of this beautiful plant from its homeland as it has become a money-making activity and those doing it do not always have the plants best interest at heart. Buy buying our smudge sticks you are supporting local production of this sacred herb, and knowing the plant is tended to in our seed gardens and harvested in a sustainable way.

Our second new product is Corn Silk Tea. A few years back we were told by our friends at Millstream Gardens how healing the corn silk can be if harvested alongside the corn and dried for brewing into a healing medicinal tea. We have been experimenting with it for ourselves and giving it away to friends, and this year we have harvested it en masse from all of our heritage corn to be able to offer it to you all. Most corn silk tea offered in the country comes from overseas, we have had our naturopath friend tell us, ours far surpasses the quality of any other she has tried. We hope you feel the same.

We have always had an interest in value adding to some of the beautiful plants we grow in our seed gardens. Watch this space, as we hope to be able to offer more healing medicinal teas in the future from herbs we grow here.

On another note, our spring Internship Program is filled! We look forward to welcoming 2 interns for our busy spring period. Thank you to all those who applied. We are still accepting applicants for our Autumn & Spring 2026 Internships. Please let anyone who you think may be interested know about this amazing opportunity, to live and learn on a working seed farm.
❂ ❂ ❂
Here is an excerpt from our Autumn Intern Johanna, she shared her feedback about her time working with us on our seed farm, “One of the most grounding parts of my time there was learning to think in terms of nature’s own logic: how would this process unfold without human intervention? That mindset shaped so much of the work and made the experience feel not just educational, but meaningful.” For her full sharing and to read what others have said, head here.

As we have passed the Winter Solstice and the days are growing longer, we can start showing some of our earliest spring vegetables.

We will be sowing shortly:

Mizuna

And in a few weeks:

These need to get an early start and a warm place to germinate. 18-degree Celsius minimum temperature is necessary to get these babies to shoot.

Don’t forget the companion flowers and herbs! You can get underway now or in the next few months:

So many options, some perennial and some annual so make sure you choose the ones that suit your garden best.

As for herbs to get underway now:

Lemon Balm

We often follow the biodynamic calendar and their recommendation to sow seeds at Moon Opposition Saturn, for these dates, check here.

❂ ❂ ❂
As we sit in the quiet winter time, it is a time for dreaming, what will you grow this year? Will you try new things, will you stick to your favourites? Will you expand your garden? Or perhaps make it a little smaller and more manageable for you? All these questions and more should be answered now so you can make your seed list and get ordering. Unlike most years we will stay open and not close our dispatch and office for 2 weeks.  We hope to keep orders flying out the door, but we appreciate your understanding as there may be small delays answering emails and receiving your seeds as we often experience high order volume at this time.

We wish you well for this dreaming time and may all your dreams come true this season and you be blessed with a bountiful garden for you and your family.

❂ ❂ ❂

❂ Our Website is where to find the most up to date information on what we have available at all times during the year. We encourage orders through this medium

❂ Of course get in touch if you cannot access our seeds this way. We have a list of our seeds and their descriptions which we can email to you if need be, so please get in touch, if the website does not work for you.

❂ And a reminder that selections of our seeds are also available from our Retail Outlets around the country.

Happy Gardening ~
