Fishlake Valley Petroglyph Site
September 14-17
Located in Central Nevada, next to the White Mountains, this is a master hierophany petroglyph site that I found. Many years ago the school facilitated camping retreats here. It has also been first choice for my solo retreats.
Sunday, September 14
Arrive to Tonopah, Nevada.
Tonopah is about halfway between Reno and Las Vegas. Should you desire to drive there, donât already know where the site is, have a van, or want to camp there, the plan is to meet up in Tonopah as the staging ground. The town has numerous inexpensive motels. I have previously stayed at the Star Inn and Clown Motel.
You can also fly into Reno or Las Vegas and rent a car. The drive 3-4 hours to Tonopah is 3-4h.
We will camp at the petroglyph site for two nights. A reminder that this is a wilderness campsite with no facilities. If you have any concerns as to whether you can do this, do not hesitate to email me, and we can set up a time to talk it over. In-person graduation for certification candidates can also be available here.
Breaking camp early morning, Wednesday, September 17. For those of you who intend to attend the Faywood Cosmology event, this allows sufficient time to get to Southern New Mexico in time.
