late summer temporary closure
I'm having an orthopedic surgery in mid-August and the clinic will be closed up to a month. I'll be well supported at home and will be getting lots of acupuncture to assist in healing. I hope to return earlier than a month, but am erring on the conservative side for now. Late August/early September is historically the slowest time in my biz, as y'all are enjoying the last gasps of summer, so the timing is intentional. Treatment package expirations will be extended the length of time I'm out. I'm happy to chat about this and answer any questions in the office. Thank you for your support and understanding. Please come in for a treatment and get your herb refills by August 12th.

Thank you for making the transition to my new Maple Leaf office! It's such a sweet location, on Roosevelt, across from Cloud City Coffee, and just a block from Macrina Bakery and the reservoir park. No matter how long it has been, you're always welcome - schedule the Return Visit. And welcome to my new patients, too! Coming in for treatments, even if you're feeling fine, is a great way to foster better sleep, recovery, and a sense of well being, especially during these turbulent times. Nearly 25 years in practice in Seattle, and I still voluntarily maintain my California acupuncture license because I value their standards, including double the number of continuing education hours that Washington requires. I also voluntarily maintain my status as a Fellow of the Acupuncture and TCM Board of Reproductive Medicine and my NCCAOM Board certification in Chinese Herbology - reminder that most acupuncturists in Washington do not have training in herbal medicine, as it's not required for licensure here. I have reams of herbal medicine training from my Master's degree program and internship in California. More on why I'm not your typical acupuncturist and my approach

I enjoyed time with my high school junior son visiting some colleges in Maine and the midwest during spring break. Memorial Day weekend was spent nearby in Burlington, watching my older son's Carleton College ultimate frisbee team win the D1 collegiate national championships! I'm now relishing the Seattle summer. Enjoy!
