Statement of Congratulations for Sri Lankan Bhikkhunis
18th June 2025:
“INEB extends our heartfelt congratulations to the Sri Lankan Bhikkhuni Sangha on the historic Supreme Court ruling affirming their right to a national identity card bearing the rightful title of Bhikkhuni. This landmark decision is not only a long-overdue recognition of their dignity and status as fully ordained monastics, but also a significant milestone for all Bhikkhunis around the world who continue to seek justice, equality, and inclusion in religious life.”

We Humbly Request Your Help to Support Displaced Myanmar Teachers
On July 16th-17th, the INEB Institute will be running a crowdfunding campaign to enable an international team of well-trained young adults to assist our alumni who are living in a Thai border town. Our aim is to provide emotional, intellectual, and material support to Myanmar teachers and friends we have already worked with, and who are doing excellent work in that region under very difficult conditions.

World Refugee Day 2025
Image item
Every year 20th June marks World Refugee Day. Close to home, along the Thai-Myanmar border, thousands of Burmese children are growing up without the basic security every child deserves. They live in constant uncertainty, facing risks of trafficking, exploitation, and neglect. During forced migration, children face countless challenges: No access to education, separation from families, not enough food or clean water, no safe place to play or grow, trauma, fear, and loss of hope.
Follow GNRC Thailand and Rights Beyond Border for more information about child rights in the region.
