Eaton Fire Survivors Network
Dear friends,
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who came out for our 6-month Fire Anniversary Survivor Press Conference & Postcard Party.
We gathered not just to reflect, but to stand together, to share the story of our recovery, and to shine a light on the urgent need to hold insurers accountable.
We thought maybe 30 to 50 folks might show up on a Monday morning after a long weekend. Instead, 400 of you came. We saw survivor groups from across Altadena and the Palisades, plus neighbors, allies, and local leaders. There were tears, long hugs, and a powerful sense that we are not alone in this.

Together, we are shifting the narrative.
Our press conference reached an astonishing 86 million Americans, according to Nielsen tracking. Your courage to show up and speak out is what made that possible.
And we made it into the Los Angeles Times. This is a big deal, because the LA Times is not just our region’s most prominent paper, it shapes national narratives. Their story brought our reality into the spotlight and made sure decision-makers couldn’t look away.
The article is behind a paywall, so we made a PDF version for easy access.
You may even spot yourself in the press coverage now making the rounds.

Now it’s time to take the next step.
If we each go it alone, survivors will be ignored. Isolated. Powerless.

But now, we are together.
Survivors are changing the story, and what comes next.
We created the Survivor Media Corps (SMC) to support you in sharing your truth, shining a light on what’s still broken, and helping shape a recovery that works for us all.
Through the SMC, you can speak out on any issue close to your heart—insurance, health concerns, school displacement, environmental damage, unsafe soils, or anything else your family is facing.

Already, Eaton and Palisades survivors in the SMC have been featured in over 350 stories, reaching millions and opening new doors.
When you speak, you take agency for your story. You advocate for yourself. And you advocate for us all.

The Survivor Media Corps offers:
• Free, professional media training tailored for survivors
• One-on-one prep before every interview
• A link to your interview to keep and share
• Full control: you decide when and if you speak
Every media request is carefully screened and matched to your interests. You’ll never be caught off guard.
This is about more than media. It’s about reclaiming power, and helping drive recovery for all of us.
