While students are off enjoying their break, our campus has been buzzing with improvements—both big and small—to make The Rock School even better for the year ahead.

 

 

🛠 Capital Improvements

We’re making exciting updates to several campus spaces. Some spaces are getting a total makeover—we won’t spoil the surprise, but let’s just say the space photographed below is going from “functional” to “fabulous.” 

 

🔬 A Brand-New Science Lab

We’re thrilled to announce a brand-new classroom dedicated to science. This upgraded space will support hands-on learning and discovery, inspiring our students to explore the world around them in brand new ways.

 

🧹 Annual Maintenance

Our facilities team is hard at work with seasonal deep-cleaning, repainting, and fresh mulch, and so much more to keep our campus looking sharp and well cared for.

And, of course, we received many comments about the parking lot and requests for improvements there! We hear you! Unfortunately, due to county regulations, we’re unable to add any more impervious land (aka more paved parking) without a costly underground drainage system, but we’re brainstorming other solutions. More to come on that soon.

SUMMER ANNOUNCEMENTS

Make plans to come early and purchase good quality secondhand uniforms for your students. Once we are out of thrift items, we are OUT! However, the Collaboratory will be open and fully stocked with new apparel, along with some clearance items. Check out the hours of the thrift sale below. 

 

We know many of you are eager to get started on school supplies! The official Student Supply List will be included in Summer Update #4, landing in your inbox on July 30. Our teachers use their preplanning week to collaborate and streamline the list, so you’ll have one clear, consolidated document—no guesswork needed!

⚽️ Fall Sports Tryouts  |  Aug 11-12

Students in grades 5-12 are invited to tryout for TRS fall sports teams on August 11-12 after school. A completed participation packet, including a new annual physical, must be submitted prior to trying out.  Find the form at therock.school/sports.
