Crossways Summer Staff: Living our Values & Leading with Love
As we transition from summer, we are especially grateful for the incredible young adults who dedicated their time and energy to serving at Crossways. Their leadership made camp a place where campers could thrive. We give thanks that each one said yes to this call to serve.
Dan, one of our summer staff, shared: “Working at camp helps me grow in many ways. I’m building confidence, meeting new friends, creating meaningful connections, and making memories that will stay with me forever. I see God at work at camp through all the songs and also the love, kindness, joy, and presence of everyone here.”
Sarah reflected on how we live out the Crossways Values, including Discovery: “We live out the Crossways Value of Discovery by offering a wide range of activities that span many interests each week. Whether the activities are chosen by campers or are scheduled, campers have the ability to discover new interests in a safe, and positive environment.”
Our staff are living our values and leading with love every day.
Camp Rentals Welcome You!
Looking for a place to gather this fall or winter? Our sites are ready to host:
Imago Dei Village (Clintonville): Modern bunkhouse-style cabins and meeting spaces of all sizes for youth groups, congregations, or families.
Pine Lake Camp (Waupaca): Lake cottages and private rooms, perfect for family reunions or small-group getaways.
Whether you’re planning a leadership retreat, quilting weekend, youth gathering, or simply a quiet family getaway, we’d love to host you at camp.
Program Spotlight: Jr High Blast
Calling all middle schoolers! Jr. High Blast is back this October 24th-26th at Imago Dei Village. This fall retreat gives middle school students an opportunity to gather in community. We’ll play games, make art, study the bible, worship together and have so much fun in God’s beautiful creation!
Registration is coordinated through congregation groups, giving campers the chance to come with friends from their own church community. Each church provides adult chaperones who get to join in the experience. If you’d like to sign up your congregation email amanda@crosswayscamps.org
Ready to Use: Church Resources
We want to make it easy for congregations to share what’s happening at camp. We prepare ready-to-use bulletin inserts, slides, flyers, and announcements. If your congregation isn’t already receiving this resource folder, please reply to this email and we’ll add you to the list.
Cultivating Generosity with the Zieske Family
The Zieske family loves camp and looks forward to it every year. From youth campers to family programs, camp has been part of their story for years. Stacy, their mom, uses camp as an opportunity to teach her children what generosity looks like in daily life. This summer, each of the teens contributed to our scholarship campaign, and together as a family they said: “This ministry matters.” Their joy, faith, and generosity remind us of the community that makes camp possible.
How would you like to engage with camp this fall?
When you share, we listen—and improve for everyone.
If your congregation or organization would like an ambassador visit from one of our Crossways volunteers, please email Amanda Wellens at amanda@crosswayscamps.org.
