Hey First name / friend, it's everyones favourite email: the food and drink update! I'll be sharing my top eats & drinks in the Calgary area once every month. This month we have 5 spots, typically we'll have six - it was just a hectic time for me! (I moved…) Anyways, on to my top 5 Eats & Drinks this month! |

🍽 Calgary Eats You Need to Try - July 2025 |
strEATs | Multiple Locations - There are multiple locations to choose from, we live in NE so we order from Marlborough but if we’re downtown or it’s super late you best believe we’re going to Beltline! strEATs has AWESOME smash-burgers, served alongside seasoned fries (get them with the garlic aioli, you’ll thank me later) PLUS they have great tacos and a “taco Thursday deal.” |
Chix Eggshop | East Village - This one is kind of a sentimental pick, but they also have great eats… Chix is located in the Alt Hotel in East Village, which is where I used to stay when I was long distance with my partner, Asher. We always get the cheese louise, sometimes I add bacon if I’m feeling fancy - plus a side of seasoned potato wedges. yum! They have a huge menu featuring classic breakfast / brunch options and great coffee (mocha for the win) I heard they also have boozy milkshakes, although I haven’t tried one yet… |
Red's Diner | Kensington - A crowd favourite in Kensington, Red’s offers some fantastic breakfast as well as a variety of more lunch like foods, burgers, sandwiches, etc. I had the smoked salmon benny and I will be going back for it. They also offered a variety of tasty beverages, I had a grapefruit mimosa and Asher got a honey lavender latte! We’ll be back for sure, our server was super sweet and honestly, how can you not love Kensington… |

🍽 Next up: Calgary Drinks You Need to Try - July 2025 |
Good Earth Coffee | Sunridge Mall - We always go to sunridge since it’s the closest to us and I can’t go to any other good earth now! The staff are SO nice and the coffee is great. Franchises can be a hit or miss but the ownership here is doing an excellent job and I’m so happy to support them. We always order an oat milk vanilla latte (for me) and a lavender latte (for Asher) If we’re feeling hungry, the mac & cheese is delicious and so comforting. The chocolate chip cookies are also great, go grab a coffee and tell them I sent you! |
Phil & Seb's | East Village - This is one of the coolest coffee shops I’ve been to in Calgary. Located in the East Village, across from the Alt Hotel, tucked into a heritage building, Phil and Seb’s has phenomenal coffee. It's one of my go-to meeting spots, the layout is airy and open, with ample seating and a super cool coffee bar setup. It’s also conveniently located in the same building as Sidewalk Citizen, an EXCELLENT bakery. Order a brownie. I’m so serious. You’ll thank me later. |

well folks, that's the roundup for this month! Don't worry, I'll be back in your inbox next week for a personal + market update. |
