Fast forward to November 2024.
Zach officially joined the Kinfolk team.
And I realized: this wasn’t just about fonts anymore.
It was about function. About building something that actually felt like us.
Priscilla Hope Studios was… fine.
But it was outdated.
Misaligned.
And not even close to holding the vision we were growing into.
Still, I couldn’t figure out what exactly was “off.”
Until one very average Tuesday, I was voice-memo-ing my friend Lauryn (Pinterest + Blogging Manager turned design girl), and it just… spilled out.
👉 The disconnect wasn’t with what I was doing.
👉 It was with what I was saying about what I was doing.
And maybe that’s what I’ve been afraid to say all along.
Because I didn’t want to be another person shouting “I do things differently!” without the substance to back it up.
But the truth is, I’ve never wanted a business built on click-throughs and clever headers.
I’ve wanted a business that knows what your dog’s name is. That remembers your baby shower. That asks what you’re bingeing on Netflix and what you’re afraid to say out loud.
It’s not just about knowing your offer.
It’s about knowing you. And building the kind of brand that does, too.
