We’re back in the swing of things, and it feels so good to be reconnecting here! July brought the kind of busy that challenges you in all the right ways — creatively, logistically, and personally.
 
We’re currently juggling eight incredible design projects, all at various stages: from revising architectural floor plans and finalizing paint schedules to conducting first-time site visits for measurements. Each one keeps us inspired and on our toes, just the way we like it.
 
On a more personal note, I got to sneak away for a birthday getaway with my husband, Tim, enjoying some well-earned rest, and carving out space for real conversation and laughter reminded me how grounding time away can be. Tim and I visited Miraval in the Berkshires, where I had a facial, two massages, and the rare gift of deep, uninterrupted sleep. I took a class on the practice of gratitude, where I committed to writing down one new thing I’m grateful for each day. We also listened to Br. David Steindl-Rast’s meditation A Good Day — a powerful reminder to slow down and appreciate even life’s simplest gifts. Life is full, life is good — and we’re so grateful. I can’t wait to share more behind-the-scenes soon and keep bringing you along for the ride.
 
Now for the fun part. Each month, I highlight a few current obsessions—from a standout interior to a hidden real estate gem, to a style piece I can't stop thinking about. Consider this your inside look at what’s catching our eyes and shaping our creative direction.
 
01. DESIGN

At Milk + Honey, we’re constantly inspired by design that feels deeply rooted—and Suppertime, a recent project by Mother Studio, is a perfect example. Designed by Maryann Thompson Architects (MTA) for the owners of @pammyscambridge, the home blends effortlessly into the wooded landscape outside Cambridge, MA. With projects ranging from the Polly Hill Arboretum to Pier 2 at Brooklyn Bridge Park, MTA brings their signature mix of modernity and soul to every detail.
 
Doug Jack of Nidity Studio guided the project from concept to completion, while the renowned Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates (MVVA) handled the landscape design. Their approach—nestling the buildings into existing vegetation—makes the home feel like it’s been there for decades. It’s the kind of project we admire: collaborative, timeless, and beautifully integrated with nature.

02. REAL ESTATE
Set on one of Cambridge’s most storied streets in the heart of Harvard Square, this 1863 residence is rich in character and quiet grandeur. With lush gardens, soaring ceilings, and layered architectural detail, the home tells a story of timeless craftsmanship—one Milk + Honey Group would be honored to preserve and thoughtfully evolve.
 
With 7 bedrooms, 2 studies, and a charming library nook, the home offers endless potential. We envision restoring the original millwork and built-ins while refining each space with modern functionality. Oversized windows flood the interiors with light, and we’d accentuate that brightness with a palette inspired by the New England setting and the rhythm of its future homeowners.
 
In the kitchen, we’d reimagine the breakfast nook and introduce custom cabinetry that complements the home’s architectural bones. The formal dining room, anchored by a commanding fireplace, invites a return to intentional gathering—something we value in every project.
 
This home is more than a residence—it’s a piece of Cambridge history. Milk + Honey Group would approach its next chapter with care, blending heritage with livability to craft a truly timeless home.

Founded with the goal of creating the perfect shirt, Alex Mill has grown into a go-to brand for effortless essentials that never go out of style.
