 |
| | The poem above is by one of my favorite writers, Mary Walker. You can find more of her work here.   Go wandering today. Close your eyes and take your surroundings in--take deep breaths, hear the sounds. Look at everything around you--notice the colors, the textures, the big things and the tiny things, the evidence of life created by the beings we share this world with, plants, animals, insects. Fill in today's section with your observations and findings. Take a sketchbook with you to create rubbings or quick sketches / notes to expand on or cut out and use when you get backWhat was your favorite part / what made a lasting impression?Reference a photo you took whether that's painting it as is or focusing on a specific detailGather things you found interesting--a seashell, a rock, a branch--to use as a tool for mark makingWhat colors did you notice? Try to replicate it using the supplies you have (it's OK if it's not a perfect match!)How did you feel? Express the mood or vibe in your section.
