Dear First name / TRS Families,  We have some exciting updates to share as we prepare to welcome students and families back to campus in just a couple weeks  đ New Faces in Administration Weâre thrilled to announce three new additions to our admin team! All 3 are experienced classroom teachers, and are a perfect fit for the administrative team as we continue to grow. |

Madeline Iyer is stepping into the role of MYP Coordinator (Grades 6-10) while continuing to teach MYP Scienceâsomething she personally insisted on doing! Madeline brings many years of experience in public education, along with a deep understanding of instructional practices and student needs. Â She is currently completing her Master of Education in Teaching and Learning, with a specialization in Instructional Coaching, and is on track to graduate in December 2025. Her heart for students and her support of fellow educators make her an excellent fit for this leadership role within the MYP program. |
Jolyn Caddell is transitioning to our administrative team as the new Lower School Principal (Grades K-5). A TRS alumna, Jolyn brings over a decade of classroom and leadership experience across multiple grade levels, from 1st through 5th grade. Before coming back to The Rock School as a 5th grade teacher, she most recently served as a Math and Science Instructional Coach and RTI Coordinator in Texas, where she supported Kindergarten through 5th grade teachers in planning, data analysis, and student-centered instruction. Â Jolyn holds a Masterâs in Educational Leadership and a Bachelorâs in Elementary Education from Saint Leo University. Her leadership background includes mentoring teachers, coordinating summer school programs, and serving as a campus leader in instructional design and intervention strategy. Â With a deep love for students, a strong instructional background, and a heart rooted in Christian education, she is eager to serve TRS families and support our Lower School teachers in this new role. |

Lacy Basford has joined TRS as our new Academic Advisor, bringing a rich background in both education and nonprofit leadership. She holds a Master of Arts in Education from the University of Florida and has years of classroom experience, including roles as a reading intervention teacher and elementary school teacher at PK Yonge. She also served as an adjunct professor at UF, helping guide undergraduate students in their own educational journeys. Â Most recently, Lacy served as Executive Director of Foster Florida, where she led strategic planning, staff development, and community engagement efforts across the state. Sheâs also an experienced speaker, mentor, and trainer, with a long history of encouraging students and families alike. Â Lacy is excited to walk alongside our Upper School families, helping students prepare for college, career, and life beyond IB. |
