Hi there,
Can you believe it’s already the last Friday of July? I’m heading down to Rock Harbor today for some sea fishing with the family! It’s been a couple of summers since I’ve been, so I’m really looking forward to being out on the ocean (Dramamine is already on standby) and hopefully reeling in some striped bass or bluefish.
Earlier this month, I explored the Hope Street Market in Providence. It's such a great mix of artisans and local provisions. I followed that up with a stop at East Side Cheese (aka heaven on earth), where I was welcomed with a bite of cheese, enough said. I also went to my first WooSox game in Worcester, and it was PawSox night, so it was extra nostalgic to see them in uniform again.
The Seekonk Women’s Social Club had a fun and successful coloring night, and I also caught up with an old friend over coffee. I’ve been loving these in-person connections and local events lately.
Here’s a quick peek at what I’ve been working on this month:
✔ New Client Meetings: Kicked off a couple conversations and planning sessions with potential projects in the pipeline.
✔ Social Media & Email Marketing: Weekly client meetings, scheduled campaigns, and ongoing social content for a long-time marketing partner.
✔ Brochure Updates: Refreshed existing layouts and updated seasonal content.
✔ Logo: Submitted a new logo design for a contest.
✔ Website Updates: Launched a new website design, started on another, and completed several updates and edits.
Porch Garden: The lantana and foxglove are still thriving (surprisingly!). I added begonias, black-eyed Susans, and impatiens. The tomato plants are about 6 inches tall now, but the peas have definitely been raided by chipmunks. Still no sunflowers, but I’m holding out hope.
As we roll into August (my birthday month!), I’ve got a busy calendar, my son’s wisdom teeth removal, book club next week and upcoming coffee hour, a girls’ night on a boat, a camping trip, and first day of school for the 11th grader !
