| | | WEEK 2 | NOTICE WHAT'S AROUND US | DAY 11 |
| | Today I invite you to notice what's inside--this could be your home, a space you enjoy, or looking inward and checking in with how you're doing and feeling.   Our indoor spaces that we enjoy and feel safe in are sacred--it's where we can let go and relax, where we feel the most comfortable, where we rest and recharge. If you've watched Marie Kondo before, you've seen her enter a home, greet it and express gratitude which I think is a beautiful idea. Take some time today to notice the things you love about your chosen space (instead of the things that need fixing or are an eyesore), to fall in love again with favorite pieces of furniture or decor, and spend some time tidying up if it's gotten a little messy (it doesn't have to be an entire room, it could be making your bed, putting away a few things, or clearing off a table). You can also bring a fresh bouquet of flowers in or light a candle. Then spend some time enjoying it.  If you'd like to take a moment today to yourself to reflect and notice how you're feeling, here are 3 guided meditations of different lengths to try: |
| | Find ideas for your section while observing and appreciating your space or reflecting on what you felt while connecting with your inner self. Here are a few ideas to try: Commemorate your space by sketching it or taking a photo of it and printing it out to add to your section. It can be fun to look back years from now and be reminded of where you used to live or how you had the furniture arranged or how nothing has changed!Zoom in: is there a detail you love--a wallpaper design, the fabric on a chair, the wood grain of a table? Try your best to replicate it.Paint your feelings using acrylic paints or watercolor. Choose colors that represent different emotions you may be feeling and make marks that reflect them: joy could look like bright splatters of paint, grief blue wavy lines that fluctuate in how dark/light they are, frustration bold hard lines painted with lots of pressure on your brush, calm an even pressured brush stroke.

| | 11 days done, 10 more to go! Have a good day and talk to you tomorrow, |
| | PS: It just so happened that this goat yoga class I booked weeks ago fell on day 10 which was perfect for “outside”! It was SO fun and if you like animals and are having a bad day, it will instantly turn it into an amazing one!! If you're in the WA area, esp in or near Renton, try a class at Sammamish Animal Sanctuary . And I had to share a few pics! One of the best parts though were all the little birds flying in and out the barn and singing as we (tried) to do yoga :) |
