Going beyond what is usual, regular, or customary; exceptional

Yesterday we embraced the mundane, today allow the words above to guide you: go somewhere unusual, do something you wouldn't normally do, don't follow your regular routine, surround yourself with what you find exceptional (music, art, nature, people) or do a deep dive on the topic, reflect on and embrace what makes you extraordinary. It doesn't have to be something big (like standing in front of a huge sculpture--it can be something tiny (the fluttering of a butterfly's wing). It can also be an idea instead of something tangible. Notice what catches your eye, what you are drawn to, what takes your breath away, what gives you a feeling of awe and wonder.

Capture what you found extraordinary. If you find it challenging to replicate visually, pick a color or two that reminds you of it in watercolor and paint your section. After it dries, fill in the section by writing about it. If you went to an event, save and add your ticket stub, program, etc. to your section.

Or try something you find extraordinary. Is there an art technique you've always admired or found beautiful? Find a tutorial to follow and give it a try! Don't worry about the final results, enjoy the process and give yourself credit for doing it! If you're worried it might get too messy or you need a bigger space to work on, do it on a separate piece of paper. Then cut it down to size to fit into your section. (I like tracing the section using tracing paper or very thin paper, then using that as a pattern to make sure what I want to cut out will have the right shape and fit.)
