Happy Friday, and Happy August! (How did that happen?!)
As we enter this new month, these words, by Morgan Harper Nichols, come to mind.
"Let July be July. Let August be August. and let yourself just be even in the uncertainty. You don't have to fix everything. You don't have to solve everything. And you can still find peace and grow in the wild of changing things."
I shared these words via Friday Favorites back in August of 2023, and it is a bit eerie to look back at that email and be reminded that the midwest air was thick with wildfire smoke then, too. How's the air where you are today?
As we step forward into August, a few possible reflection questions —
What is one thing I want to make sure I do before the end of summer?
What is one thing I can do now, to set myself up for success during the often-busy-stretch of September through December?
Are there any conversations or decisions I've been avoiding that need to happen before fall?
What has been a peak moment from the summer, so far?
