July Highlights: 

Last month brought meaningful opportunities to serve, connect, and live out our mission. Throughout the month, we welcomed volunteers from Scout Motors, whose team joined us for a day of hands-on service and a half-day Struggle Well training. We were also honored to participate in the Ryan Rawl Memorial Workout at the SC State House, paying tribute to Deputy Rawl’s enduring legacy of courage and selfless service.

 

In Myrtle Beach, our Executive Director, Mitch Ray, joined Sheriff Leon Lott at the SC Sheriffs’ Association Conference to speak about how BRBR is supporting first responders across the state. Meanwhile, our staff and Board came together for a two-day Struggle Well retreat to deepen our connection and celebrate the newest Struggle Well alumni from the Richland County Sheriff's Department.

 

Each of these moments reminded us that our work has purpose. Thank you for being part of this journey and helping us continue our mission to Help Heroes Thrive at the Big Red Barn Retreat.
