If your first link on social is a checkout page... you're skipping a crucial step.
“But they follow me, CJ. They already trust me!”
I hear you—but here’s the thing:
Following isn’t the same as trusting with their credit card.
Just because someone likes your content doesn’t mean they’re ready to buy.
You still need to build in that extra layer of security.
Conversion Tip: Before you ask for a sale, create a “trust path.”
That can look like:
- A landing page that explains what your offer is (in plain language)
- Screenshots or results from people who’ve worked with you
- A short story or welcome message that reminds them you’re real
- Your face, your name, your presence
Because when someone lands on your site, they’re asking:
“Is this for real? Can I trust this person with my time and money?”
You have about 5 seconds to answer that question with confidence.
That’s why your website can’t just be a checkout.
It needs to make people feel like they’ve arrived somewhere solid—like, “Ah. I’m in the right place.”
Want to make sure your site builds that kind of trust?
👉Book a Consult with me and let's check your trust signals, your conversion flow, and what's working (and what's quietly repelling people, too).
Until next week,
CJ
