Research shows that it takes users a mere 50 milliseconds to form an opinion about the visual appeal of a website.
50 milliseconds!
That’s clearly not enough time to pull together a reasonable assessment of someone’s experience or capacity to help further their business.
That’s only enough time for the subconscious to react.
That’s why thoughtful visual branding matters!
Then, let’s say their subconscious is cool with the first 50 milliseconds…the average human attention span is just about 8 seconds.
8 seconds!
That’s all you’ve got to pique someone’s interest, answers someone’s question, or allay their fears. If you haven’t done it by then, they bounce. (That’s the legit term for it, too, by the way. They bounce.)
So if you already have your website up, my question to you is Are you sure what you are conveying is what you mean to say?
For example, there aren’t right or wrong colors in the world, but are you using colors that vibe together? Or do you have a plain white site that conveys nothing? Or are the colors you are using on the frequency of your potential clients? How do you want them to feel when they come to your site? What colors vibe with you?
These details seem absurd at first, I know, but addressing the subconscious part of appeal can mean the difference in making the connection with them or not.
If you already have a site up, I encourage you to book a consultation with me by clicking the link below so we can have a look at it together and I can tell you what I see at a granular level.
If it’s not what you mean to say, then we can make adjustments on the fly.
I’m excited to talk with you!
