Our culinary job training program supports community members in building professional skills, gaining food safety certification, and launching careers or small businesses in the food industry. Prior participants had the opportunity to sell dishes they prepared themselves and turned classroom lessons into real-world experience.
menstrual hygiene and infant care supplies open to the community
Britepaths’ SNAP Gap Pantry is open to all community members in need of infant care and menstrual hygiene supplies; no referral needed. Community members can self-refer to access essentials like diapers, wipes, tampons, pads, and other necessary supplies. Everyone deserves access to these essential products.
Have a business idea but not sure where to start? Already running a small business and want to grow? We are here to help! a special visit to the secret garden at britepaths
Testimonial name
One of our client parents recently stopped by to pick up a care package, and while exploring The Secret Garden, she found a Spanish bilingual book to take home for her one-year-old infant. She shared how excited she was to read it with her child, not just to help them start learning early, but also to support her own English development.
Getting your child's immunizations up to date is an important step toward a healthy school year. Fairfax County Health Department offers free back-to-school immunization clinics during August 2025, serving all students, whether they're new to the county, need booster shots, or are catching up on missed vaccines.
When your income changes from month to month, it can feel hard to stay on top of bills or build savings. But creating a flexible budget can help you feel more in control.
SNAP & WIC
SNAP can help anyone who qualifies based on income, even if you have a job. It loads money each month onto a special card (like a debit card) you can use for groceries.
WIC helps pregnant women, new moms, and kids under 5 with food, baby formula, and health checkups.
How to Apply:
Check Benefits.gov or search “SNAP application + [your state]” to get started. Many applications are now online.
Medicaid & Free Clinics
Medicaid gives free or low-cost health insurance to people with limited income, even if you’re not a parent or elderly.
Don’t qualify? Check out community health clinics. They often offer checkups, dental care, mental health services, and prescriptions, sometimes for free or on a sliding scale.
