WEEK 3 | CELEBRATE OUR SENSES | DAY 18
Vision
Whether it's for work or for fun, we spend a lot of time focusing our eyes on screens. What do you want to look at it instead? Re-visit your why and some of the things you brainstormed about doing at the start of this challenge. Pick one and spend some time doing that today. It could be reading actual pages in a book, sitting outside a coffee shop to people watch, admiring artifacts in a museum, treasure hunting at a thrift shop, watching your kiddos play, sitting across from a loved one and giving them your undivided attention, flipping through old photo albums, looking at the world through a camera lens, watching clouds or birds go by, or close your eyes and give them a rest.

21 EVERY DAYS

"Vision is the art of seeing what is invisible to others." - Jonathan Swift

What I love about art and prompts is that we can all start with the same word and I know for a fact everyone will create something unique-- no two will be exactly the same! We all see things differently, colored by our individual experiences, what we are drawn to, our dislikes, our skillsets and backgrounds--I find this to be so special and interesting! Here is a quick exercise I would like for you to do as a warm up or for your section today--then send me a pic so we can see all the different art that came from it!

On a post it note (or a piece of paper of similar size or your section) create a garden.

Don't be shy to share! This isn't about who can make the best garden or is the most skilled, it's about all of our different interpretations and expressions.

Here are a few more ideas you can try for your section:
  • Create a mini vision board of what you envision for yourself after this break ends. What activities did you enjoy, what worked for you, would like to continue to do?
  • What caught your eye today? (It can be a color or mix of colors, a pattern, shape, or an object or scene.)
  • Take something you saw today and put your twist on it! For example if you saw a flower, draw it in your style whether it's extremely detailed and realistic or loose and abstract. Or recreate it in an aesthetic you really enjoy, for example: bright and colorful or muted and soft.

I hope to see some of your post it note art :) Talk to you tomorrow,
