What a nice surprise it was to hear from ergoPouch a couple of months back! When their team reached out to collaborate, my baby was literally upstairs snoozing in an ergoPouch sleep sack that I'd selected after loads of brand research. So, I didn't need any convincing. :) 

 

MATERIALS:

Since they’re Australia-founded/based (but very much available in the U.S.), this is consistent with my general thesis that things are just…better over there when it comes to design. SLEEPWEAR FOR ALL TEMPS:

ergoPouch has a whole variety of TOG-rated pouches, swaddles and jammies. For the unacquainted, TOG is a thermal rating for baby sleepwear, from super cozy and warm (up to 3.5 TOG) to ultra-lightweight, which is essential for these absolutely scorching summer nights on the east coast. Our baby’s room runs HOT in summer, so 0.2 TOG it is.

 

All of their sleep sacks come with a “What to Wear Guide” that measures the temperature of your actual room (NOT KIDDING) and indicates how to layer your baby for sleep, and which TOG to use for a sleep sack. I delight in referencing this almost every night and have admittedly used it as my party trick when guests have stayed with us: watching the little temperature indicator appear is so satisfying and magical. HOW DID THEY DO IT? It provides helpful reassurance that you’re not over- or under-dressing your little one. But even before buying a sleep sack, ergoPouch has super helpful TOG education on their website that can guide you toward the right rating. Essential for puzzled parents agonizing over buying 1.0 or 0.2 TOG-rated gear. Can relate.
