WEEK 3 | CELEBRATE OUR SENSES | DAY 20
Rest
After exploring our senses throughout the week, let's take some time to allow them to rest and reset.

Eyes: Try the 20-20-20 rule, every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds. Or close your eyes and apply a warm or cold compress/wash cloth over them for a few minutes.

Nose: Breathe deeply, outside in some fresh air if that's possible. Inhale slowly through your nose, feeling your belly rise. Exhale slowly through your mouth, feeling your belly fall.

Ears: Step away from noisy environments, allow yourself some moments of quiet when you can.

Mouth: Drink water and stay hydrated. Add lemon, cucumber, berries, or mint if you'd like. Try to remember to unclench your jaw (I don't even notice that I'm doing it!)

Hands: Stretch and massage your hands, take time to put your favorite lotion on, use a hand mask.

While a lot of these are simple acts and things we know to do, I'll be the first one to say I'm just walking around, not breathing deeply, clenching my jaw, and not drinking enough water 😅 I still find myself reaching for my phone a lot more than I'd like and want to try to redirect that into one of the actions above, especially once this break ends.

21 EVERY DAYS

What does rest mean to you?
What does it look like for you?
How did you rest today?

Fill in today's section with your answer. Keep in mind you can interpret in a literal way (drawing cucumbers and lemon slices if you enjoy it in your water, in an abstract manner (using colors that evoke a sense of rest for you), or take your inspiration and use it as a tool or material to create with (using the same cucumber/lemon water example, you can paint on cucumber slices and try to print with them or squeeze lemon juice over your paint as the acid can change the colors).

I can't believe I'll be sharing the final prompt for this social media break tomorrow! I have all kinds of feelings which I will save for the wrap up email :) Thank you for being on this journey with me,
