I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer! Each season brings new joy and excitement to DPNC, but summer is my favorite. There’s nothing better than walking down to the pond and seeing two campers catching a frog, another pair up in a tree, and others just sitting in the mud, happily chatting away.

It’s been a full season, with over 500 summer campers, 50+ library programs, our brand-new Fairies in the Forest event, and so much more. Behind the scenes, our Animal Care team has been tending to injured raptors, the Trail Blazer Team has been busy keeping the paths clear, and the Craig Floyd Giving Garden continues to harvest fresh produce weekly for local mobile food pantries.

We’ve also wrapped up a year-long strategic planning effort. One consistent theme from community feedback was that it's sometimes difficult to find information about our programs and all the wonderful things happening at DPNC. We heard you, and we’re excited to launch this new quarterly newsletter with updates from across DPNC and a link to an online catalog of upcoming programs. You’ll still receive our monthly Chickadee newsletter, too. We’d love to hear your thoughts on the new format, and we can’t wait to see you at one of our amazing fall programs!
