Color Drenching: Immersive, Bold and Monochromatic

If you’ve ever stepped into a room that feels calm yet bold, serene yet statement-making, chances are you’ve experienced color drenching. One of the most talked-about design trends of 2025, this technique is all about choosing a single color and using it everywhere—walls, ceiling, trims, doors, and even built-in furniture—creating an immersive, cohesive experience.

The magic of color drenching lies in full commitment to a single shade and allowing it to transform a space entirely.
Depending on your color choice, the result can be warm and cocooning, dramatic and moody, or fresh and airy. By enveloping a room in one tone, you’re not just decorating—you’re crafting a mood.

Color drenching does more than look beautiful—it connects a space emotionally. Wrapping a room in one hue makes it feel intentional, inviting, and often surprisingly practical. Painting ceilings to match the walls, for example, removes visual breaks, making rooms feel larger and more serene. In smaller spaces, it adds depth and character, while in larger ones, it ties everything together seamlessly.

Another layer of intrigue comes from playing with textures instead of colors. Imagine matte-painted walls paired with textured wood panels in the same hue, or plush velvety cushions against matching drapery. This approach creates richness and dimension without disrupting the monochromatic flow.

 Styling with Purpose

By committing to a single color, you give yourself the freedom to let furniture and art take center stage—or subtly blend in.
A sculptural chair might pop against a sea of deep green, while a gallery wall could glow softly in a pale cream-washed space.

Ultimately, color drenching isn’t just about paint—it’s about emotion.
It’s about stepping into a room and immediately feeling what you intended, whether that’s a sense of coziness, drama, or quiet elegance.

So, next time you reach for a paint switch, ask yourself:
What would it feel like if this color was everywhere?

You might just discover the transformative power of going all in.

PROJECT OF THE MONTH
Beverly Hills: Sculptural, Sophisticated And Serene

Image item

For this month's project, we are excited to show you one of our latest gems nestled within the serene enclave of Emirates Hills, this three-story Beverly Hills villa is all about seamless continuity.
Every detail—from walls and facades to the interplay of light and texture—aligns to create a unified architectural narrative that unfolds effortlessly throughout the space.

This is not just luxury, but thoughtful design that flows.
Materials, whether tactile or visual, dialogue from one room to the next, while gentle transitions in tone and finish foster an environment of calm cohesiveness. There's an understated confidence here: sleek, intentional, and complete.

Rooted in the rhythm of both LA’s grand indoor-outdoor lifestyle and the client's Persian heritage, design elements like handcrafted textiles and a palette of turquoise, mineral blues, earthy accents, and warm timber establish an emotionally grounded luxury experience.
It's a villa that feels curated, comfortable, and warm balanced through elevation and soulful detail rather than singular focus.

Each space reflects its own mood—some cozy and grounded, others light and open—all linked by a consistent design language. Movement through the home is smooth, with changes in atmosphere that enrich rather than disrupt.

The material palette anchors the villa’s refined expression: luminous Calacatta marble floors unify the layout, a sculptural green onyx bar acts as a social centerpiece, rustic stone walls impart warmth, and matte marbles paired with walnut create bold tactile zones in private areas.

Lighting by Tom Dixon, Flos, Gubi, and other layers mood and highlights architectural moments.

Ultimately, this villa is a refined, deeply human home—its luxury felt in texture, light, and craftsmanship.
It balances multicultural influences with a global aesthetic, merging function, art, and emotional resonance in every element.

The Collection at Finca Talluca – An Editorial Highlight

Nestled in the verdant landscape of Currumbin Valley on the Gold Coast hinterland, Finca Talluca is an interiors collaboration between Ellison Studios and HGA Studio, realized with the personal insight of homeowner Megan Ziems (Founder of Grace Loves Lace) and longtime creative partner Leigh McKeown (Founder & CEO of Ellison Studios).

The project is a rare fusion of lifelong friendship and bold design ambition.

A Design that Speaks of Balance & Place

Architect Harley Graham of HGA Studio crafted Finca Talluca with a language of tropical brutalism infused with mid-century cues, anchored in natural materials like rammed earth and stone, and cradled by a freshwater creek.

Ellison Studios was entrusted to curate the interiors with their distinct aesthetic—a blend of refined restraint and laid-back elegance, resulting in a family retreat that feels both grounded and thoughtfully designed.

Curation with Intentional Layers

The result is a space that doesn’t scream for attention but feels like a living, breathing narrative. Why this matters for design lovers is that Finca Talluca is far more than a display of stylish furniture—it’s a celebration of collaborative creativity, where homeowners and designers with a shared history and mutual respect have shaped a deeply personal project.

The interiors embrace authentic contextuality, responding seamlessly to both the natural surroundings and the architectural language to create a strong sense of place.
Every space reflects curated comfort, with a layered, collected feel that replaces rigidity with an inviting and refined atmosphere. From indoor rooms to outdoor settings, the collection maintains a cohesive flow, embodying modern living’s desire for both fluidity and comfort.

LATE SUMMER PALETTE
Faded Warmth and Earthy Hues for a Soft Seasonal Transition

As we step into the last days of summer, there’s a certain softness in the air—a gentle shift in light, a quiet slowing of pace.
This moment calls for a palette that captures both the lingering warmth of the season and the first whispers of change.

August’s color story is rooted in sun-washed earthy tones: soft clays, warm sands, sage greens, straw blues, and rich mocha-brown neutrals. These hues carry the warmth of the sun yet reflect the muted beauty of fading light.
They don’t compete for attention; instead, they wrap a space in calm, lived-in warmth, creating an atmosphere that feels as comfortable as it is refined.

A Palette with Quiet Confidence

These shades are remarkably versatile. They shift gracefully with the day—bright and airy in the morning, then deep and golden as the sun sets. They feel equally at home in a modern city apartment or a rustic countryside retreat, bridging contemporary design with organic charm.

Layering for Depth

Part of the magic of this palette is how beautifully it works with a variety of textures. Pair it with linen, rattan, or aged wood for a relaxed, natural aesthetic. Or contrast it with brushed metal accents and crisp white walls for a more modern, elevated feel. Whether used as a soft backdrop or as a bold statement wall, these colors invite a slower, more grounded way of living.

The Spirit of Late Summer

This is more than just a seasonal palette—it’s a mood.
It’s the warmth of sand beneath your feet, the scent of sunlit earth, and the soft blues of a late afternoon sky.

It’s a gentle reminder that summer is still here, but its edges are softening, making space for the cozy moments to come.

RAW MEETS REFINED
Exploring the Fusion of Authentic Metals and Natural Materials

Image item

This season, interiors are speaking a new design language, one where strength and softness meet, and contrast forms the backbone of calm, expressive spaces. At Milan Design Week 2025, a clear shift emerged toward blending the raw honesty of industrial metals with the inviting warmth of natural materials.

Designers are moving past strict minimalism and embracing a more layered, human approach. Iron, steel, and aluminum are now softened by wood grain, earthy ceramics, and organic stones like marble and travertine.

In our Beverly Hills project, this sensibility came to life through a custom-designed fireplace, where antique brass sides and shelving frame a striking natural stone cladding top by Vada Stone.
Their collection of unique, raw stone surfaces became a key feature, bringing depth, tactility, and a sense of permanence to the space.

Sustainability is shaping this conversation too, with recycled aluminum and low-impact metal finishes not just used for function but celebrated as statement elements. In one of our recent material studies, recycled aluminum frames were paired with natural stone tops to create a quiet but compelling dialogue between scale and finish.

Similarly, in Beverly Hills, the bar fit-out balanced the industrial edge of metal shelving and mesh shutters with the warmth of walnut wood detailing and the luminous richness of natural marble onyx, an interplay that felt both contemporary and handcrafted.

It’s about pairing materials that balance temperature and texture: brushed steel alongside honed marble, textured ceramics meeting warm oak detailing, antique brass sitting comfortably against handcrafted finishes.

In that same Beverly Hills residence, brass details became a unifying thread used across shelving, joinery accents, and decorative trims, each element elevated by its pairing with natural marble and wood. This careful orchestration allows metal to take on a softer, more expressive role while still making a statement.

At C’est ici, we’re exploring this narrative through curated compositions and material studies that reflect this wider movement. These interiors feel honest, sensory, and emotionally grounded, telling stories of sustainability, craftsmanship, and the human experience. Because in the end, it’s not just about what materials are used, but how they meet, interact, and quietly transform a space.

THE SPA WITHIN
Wellness- Focused Interiors that Nurture Mind, Body and Space

Image item

A new kind of luxury is taking shape, one that favors ease over excess, and clarity over complexity. As the home becomes more than just a place to live, interiors are evolving into spaces of restoration. Wellness is no longer a finishing touch; it is the main focus upon which thoughtful design rests.

This shift is about crafting environments that nurture both body and mind. Every detail, from the lighting and materiality to the way spaces flow in schematic layouts, it is considered for its ability to bring calm, balance, and quiet clarity to daily life.
In our Seychelles project, a private family retreat by the beach, this philosophy shaped every decision.
The home was envisioned as a zen, spa-like sanctuary, where each surface, tone, and texture work in harmony to encourage deep rest.

Homes are becoming more intentional in how they invite moments of pause. Spa-like bathrooms allow for long, unhurried rituals, while corners for reflection or meditation are carved out with care.

In the Seychelles villa, continuity was key to achieving this mindset, light travertine flooring flows seamlessly from interior to exterior, blurring boundaries and visually expanding the space. Walls and ceilings were finished in a unified, light-textured paint, embracing the concept of color drenching to create a gentle, enveloping calm throughout.

Materiality plays a quiet yet powerful role in this narrative. Linen, cork, warm woods, and muted stone all carry a gentle honesty. Similarly, in Seychelles, we have used reclaimed wood details as ceiling beams on the ground floor, which brought warmth and authenticity, while bamboo wall coverings in the powder room ceiling and shutters subtly echoed the raw beauty of nature. These tactile, organic finishes connect the home to its surroundings, reinforcing a sense of wellness that feels both grounded and luxurious.

This is more than a design style, it’s a mindset. When we design with intention and softness, whether through the muted continuity of a beachside villa or the gentle balance of urban interiors, we create homes that do more than look beautiful.
