Monday – Focus on Safer Streets Summer Initiative
We began the week with a visit from the PCC accompanied by Home Office officials. Together, we toured the city centre to look at the progress of the Safer Streets Summer Initiative – a targeted programme aimed at reducing crime and anti-social behaviour during the busy summer months.
From increased visible patrols to targeted safety measures, the initiative is helping to create a secure and enjoyable environment for residents, workers, and visitors alike.
Wednesday – Highlighting Crime Reduction in the City
Just two days later, we were pleased to welcome the PCC back for a deeper look at the ongoing work Coventry BID undertakes around crime reduction. This included discussing our partnership approach with local businesses, the police, and other agencies to tackle crime hotspots, provide safety advice, and implement preventative measures.
Working Together for a Safer CoventryThese visits reflect the strong relationships between Coventry BID
West Midlands Police, the PCC, and key stakeholders. By working collaboratively, we’re ensuring that our city centre remains a safe, vibrant place for everyone to enjoy.
We’d like to thank the PCC and Home Office officials for taking the time to see this work in action – and for their continued support in making Coventry a safer, more welcoming place.
