But now we're home and back in business!
Â
Sam finished up her scoring as a juror for the
Handmade Arcade Holiday Market. The field of applicants is seriously competitive. The creative talent in our region, both from folks we know and many new to us, is awe-inspiring.
Â
Nathan has spent most of the week over at Pittsburgh Glass Center, photographing auction donations. Their studios are currently shut down for their annual studio clean-up and maintenance, but energy is ramping up for theÂ
Art on Fire Celebration & Auction.
Â
Sam also worked with website clientsÂ
JADA House International to firm up their sponsorship tiers and set up ticket sales for their first-ever fundraiser next month! JADA House does really powerful community work in Hazelwood and greater Pittsburgh and has set an ambitious goal of raising $25,000 for 2025, with an aptly named event,Â
25 for 25: A Celebration of Black Art & Community. Tickets go on sale August 17!Â
In less exciting news, Sam also had the pleasure of a root planing and scaling procedure (aka deep cleaning) at the periodontist. This is a profoundly uncomfortable experience. I share this information with you to say, with love, if your dentist tells you to floss more or brush better, my dear people, do it, do it, do it.
