Welcome back to another academic year that, inshaAllah, provides beneficial opportunities for our Al-Falah community to strengthen everyone’s desire to Love, Learn & Live Islam!! We thank each of you for entrusting us with your child(ren) and partnering with us to help your child(ren) succeed.
You are receiving this email because you have at least one child registered for the 2025-26 school year at Al Falah Academy. If you have any children on the waitlist, a separate email will be sent if/when there is a change in your child’s waitlist status.
This is the first Principal's newsletter for the 2025-26 school year. We encourage you to continue reading through the Principal's emails in full each week, as they will include important updates and new information.
Connections is Back!
We are very excited to announce that the Connections class period is back! Your child(ren) will now have three class periods throughout the day: Qur’an, Islamic Studies, and Connections, as well as Arabic (if you have registered them for this optional period).
What is Connections? This is a class period that aligns all the learning that students are doing in Qur’an and Islamic Studies into practical application through engaging activities. No change will be made to the overall arrival and dismissal times.
Important Dates
Please note the following important dates for our families & parents this semester inshaAllah. Our tentative school calendar has been posted on our website and our our class schedule outline is below:
First Day of School: Saturday, September 6th (Fischer Middle School)
- Drop Off: 9 AM – Elective Arabic Program, 10 AM – All Students
- Pick Up: 1:10 PM (Prek - 1st Grade & MUHSEN), 1:30 PM (2nd Grade - Youth Program)
Parent Orientation: Saturday, September 6th, 10:20-11:20 AM (Fischer Community Room)
Curriculum Day: Saturday, October 4th, 10:20-11:20 AM (Fischer Gymnasium)
Communication
- Principal's Email: Each Thursday you will receive an email from the Principal, outlining important logistical information, events, and/or deadlines for the safety and success of your child(ren). Within this email you will also find email addresses to reach our administrators and a link to our “Parent Linktree”, contents detailed below.
- Al-Falah Website: We update our website weekly, posting relevant flyers on our home page: http://icnschool.org/
- Parent Linktree: This link is a ‘one-stop’ page for important parent links! It includes our website, Absence/Late Arrival/Early Dismissal forms, Alma login page, class schedule, drop off/pick up procedures and so much more. We recommend you bookmark this page for quick and easy future reference: https://linktr.ee/afaicnparents
- Alma: This is the school's information platform for teacher-student-parent communication, grading & sharing lesson plans, and communication of community & school-wide events.
Alma Parent & Student Portal
Al-Falah Academy will continue to use Alma as our student information system. Setup of a parent Alma account is required.
On Friday, August 15th and every Friday leading up to the first day of school, Alma account activation emails will be sent to the following:
- All new parents (this account setup is different from the AlmaStart account that was used to register)
- Returning parents who never activated their parent account
If you do not see this email in your Inbox, check your Junk/Spam folder. Please follow the instructions in this email to set up your account. An account is required to view important information and perform actions such as:
- view/pay tuition invoices
- re-register students
- view standards, curriculum, homework, school calendar, etc.
- email teachers
Once your account is activated, you can get the Alma app and view the Alma study guide to watch the Parent Portal Overview.
Tuition Payments
A parent Alma account is required to pay your tuition balance in full or to set up an automatic monthly payment plan. Tuition invoices will be emailed on Friday, August 22nd and instructions on how to pay will be provided in next week's Principal's email (8/21).
As a reminder, please see below regarding our payment policy:
- Full tuition payment or setup of an autopay plan for the full tuition amount is due by Sept 5, 2025.
- If full tuition payment or setup of an autopay plan for the full tuition amount is not completed before Sept 6, 2025, the student’s registration will be canceled, their spot may be released to another student, and the registration fee will be non-refundable. Please note: Students will not be permitted to attend classes until payment arrangements have been finalized.
- If a family chooses to re-register after withdrawal, the student may be placed on a waitlist if the grade level is at capacity and may also be required to submit a second registration fee.
