Artsy Project Update - August 2025Ā |
|
New here? Iām Carmen McCullough, a curious creator andĀ proven promoterĀ ofĀ artsy projectsĀ that take usĀ off the beaten path. This is my monthly update where I share about my artsy projects hoping you'll be inspired to start and/or continue creating your own. This month, you can support my work by forwarding this email to an artsy friend. If they find it of interest, I would love for them to follow along with us! |

Cooler days and darker nights are just around the cornerāthe season when everything turns pumpkin spice. š Something about fall always sparks my creativity. Do you feel that way too? Once Iām back in the studio, what do you think I should create next? |

What Do You Want More Of? |

(I know, I know - It seems like you're doing all the work here this month! š¤£) Iām planning to invest in a limited print run of note card sets, and Iād love your input! Each set will include 4 cardsāone of each of my most popular designs. Take a look at the images below and vote for your favorite. The four collages with the most votes will make it into the final pack! |

Artsy project Update - Tarot Cards |
|
As mentioned last month, I am creating a mini Tarot Deck digitally, working with my laptop and software instead of my usual tools. While I miss the feel of paint, paper, and mixed media, this approach is more forgivingāand revisions are much easier to manage. Ā This month I designed images for all 22 cards in a color scheme inspired by my Death is a Doorway collage and ordered a sample deck from MakePlayingCards.com. It cost $42 with shipping and took over two weeks to arrive. In a world ruled by Amazonās swift delivery, that price and lengthy turnaround just isnāt practical for resale. Something to keep in mind as I shuffle through my new deck this month. š |

I picked up a Moonflower plant from a roadside farmerās market a few weeks ago. To my delight, the flower opened quickly when out of direct light and I was lucky enough to snap a photo. Now I fret, wait, and try my best to keep it alive until it blooms again! š |
