From social work to housing policy, they’re ready to dive in and continue creating impact right here in St. Louis.

🌟 Hannah Jumper:
Hannah is a lifelong St. Louisan with a degree in Child, Youth, and Family Studies and is currently working towards her Master’s of Social Work. Hannah has experience working in public schools and policy and advocacy in Missouri. With a deep love for St. Louis and Missouri, Hannah aspires to advance the rights of all Missourians and have a positive impact on the community. In their free time, Hannah enjoys diving into a good book or exploring a new hiking trail.

🌟 Alejandra Ahern:
Alejandra Ahern is a second year MSW student concentrating in social and economic development. Before coming to DeSales for her current practicum, she interned with Legal Services of Eastern Missouri. During her time there, she provided assistance to clients with housing-related issues and coordinated with attorneys and social workers to advocate for improvements to housing policy. In her free time, she prioritizes cultivating her own community with friends and loved ones. She is also an avid reader and can frequently be found sitting on a blanket with a book in Tower Grove Park.

congratulations abassi! 🎉 

 

Abassi Wilkins, a player on the DeSales Redbird Rookies team The SuperStars and rising 8th Grader, won the opportunity to compete in the Cardinals Care Pitch, Hit, and Run Team Championship at Busch Stadium on August 16th.

 

Abassi - the son of one of DeSales' long-term volunteer coaches - qualified by being the top finisher in his age bracket during the Pitch, Hit and Run Competition at Harris-Stowe State University in July.

 

Congratulations to Abassi and his family! The entire DeSales team is so proud!
