We first worked with Adeye Jean-Baptiste in late 2024 as they were wrapping up a residency at Pittsburgh Glass Center. They wanted photos to document the work they created, so a friend and client, Annabelle Javier of Paul Wissmach Glass Company (and a PGC board member), recommended us. Fun fact: Did you know that 85-90% of our work every year comes from personal referrals and recommendations? But, I digress. |

Fast forward to this summer, and Adeye was back in Pittsburgh to teach a summer intensive at PGC called Fusing Multiples and Intergenerational Beading. So we got to document their class and process, finished work, and take a new headshot for them - it's a photography hat trick! |

What we love about working with Adeye: |
|
- They are fun and playful in their creative practice.
- The way they go out of their way to make you feel seen. When Nathan walked into their class at PGC this summer, they recognized him and stepped away from what they were doing to say hi and share some specific feedback about the photos he'd previously taken. (That their work was accepted into New Glass Review, and the review specifically noted the quality of their images when sending the acceptance notification. Nathan has several credits in NGR over the years but never tires of hearing “my work got into this thing because you took such a great photo of it.” That's why we're here!)
- They hold a special place in our hearts as having the first official session in our in-progress home studio, Studio 8000.
- They have a great sense of humor. When we sent their headshots over, they immediately changed their Instagram profile photo to this one ^.

Related to that fun fact up above, one of the joys of running this business together is that we've cultivated a community of clients and referrers that consistently brings us people and organizations that are an excellent fit. With very few exceptions, we delight in shouting out our clients whenever the opportunity arises because we genuinely love their work and supporting their goals. |
