Thank you for your participation in our parent satisfaction survey in the 2024-2025 school year.  We are ready for phase 2, the next step in developing our 5 year strategic plan.  We invite you to participate in our strategic plan town hall meeting.  Our facilitator for the evening is Nathan Siebenga, an experienced private school coach in strategic planning.  Our leadership team has benefited from his expertise over the last 5 years as we continue to bring the vision of The Rock School to fruition.

Hello TRS Families, 

 

My name is Nathan Siebenga, and I have the privilege of hosting our upcoming Community Town Hall for The Rock School. I want to personally invite you to join us for this important evening of conversation about the strategic future of The Rock School.

 

At the Town Hall, you’ll hear from school leadership, review results from last spring’s parent satisfaction surveys, and take part in open, round-table discussions about what lies ahead for The Rock School.

 

As a former Christian School Head of School, I’ve seen firsthand how powerful it is when a community gathers for honest dialogue about the future. These moments always brought encouragement and bore lasting fruit.

 

I hope you’ll come, engage in the conversation, and add your voice to shaping the future of The Rock School.

As part of our upcoming IB PYP authorization visit, we are looking for PYP parents (grades K-5) who would be willing to share their experiences with our visiting team while they are on campus August 28-29. No student phones will be allowed in the Collab for any reason, including to pay at the register. Parents can sign a credit card authorization form to add a card on file in the Collab or have their student ready to make a physical payment (card or cash).

We are excited to continue building on our second year of standards-based grading in the PYP! Unlike traditional grades, this approach highlights progress and growth rather than perfection, giving a clearer picture of what your child knows and is still developing. Please take time to review the Standards-Based Grading Guidelines to better understand how we report on learning. We’ll also share more at our PYP Orientation Night on Monday, September 8, 2025.

The 2nd/3rd grade teams are still in need of parent volunteer coaches. Please contact walt.darty@therock.school if you can help. TRS flag football practices are on Fridays at 5p on the field for all teams. Practice start date will be determined by the team coach, who will contact their team's parents.

Congrats to our JV and Varsity Volleyball teams for beating Williston at home yesterday!!! MS Volleyball plays Thursday at 4:30p; Admission is free for students and staff. Come out and support our girls!
