My endorsement of WOKC stems from seeing firsthand their unwavering support for children and their families fighting childhood cancer. Their comprehensive approach extends to the entire family unit.
From September 1–18, your impact will be doubled. An anonymous donor has pledged to match the first $25,000 in online donations—dollar for dollar. And because there are no transaction fees, 100% of your gift supports our mission.
Volunteers Of The Month
On Saturday, August 23, we hosted 37 members of the Maverick Porsche Club for a Buddy Bag event. The group packed 75 bags and wrote inspirational notes to our warrior families. WOKC is so thankful for the relationship with the MPC and all they have done to support our mission through the years.
CEO Report
WOKC has been blessed with four third-party events in 2025. The Northwestern Mutual Clay Shoot, the Hunt Cares Golf Tournament, the Las Colinas Country Club Charity Golf Tournament, and the ATO Crawfish Boil. These events are critical to the WOKC budget and to our mission. If you know of a company who might want to host a third-party event for WOKC, please reach out to me at kcumnock@wokc.org.

WOKC Football Classic
Melissa vs. Don Bosco Prep
Allen vs. Midland Legacy
The 2nd Annual Wipe Out Kids’ Cancer Football Classic was held on Friday, August 29, bringing together fans, families, and teams for an exciting evening of football and community support. Allen defeated Midland Legacy with a score of 46–13, while Don Bosco Prep (New Jersey) secured a 14–10 victory over Melissa.
WOKC extends heartfelt thanks to the thousands of fans who purchased tickets, made donations, and participated in this year’s event. Your generosity helps advance our mission of bringing comfort, hope, and support to children and families affected by pediatric cancer. Friday night football in Texas combined with the fight to wipe out kids’ cancer—those are victories worth celebrating.

American Airlines Cargo
On Monday, September 8, members of the American Airlines Cargo Leadership Team gathered from across the globe for their annual meeting at DFW Headquarters. They selected WOKC for their volunteer project, donating essential items for 120 Buddy Bags, which they packed for us. Warrior Parents Ray and Mariana Zedov are part of the AA Cargo Team. They shared the story of their son Mason’s cancer diagnosis and treatment, emphasizing their appreciation for all the support WOKC has provided since day one. WOKC is grateful for volunteers like the American Airlines team, whose support directly impacts DFW families enduring a pediatric cancer diagnosis.
Offering comfort and hope to kids with cancer through support programs serving the entire family and funding innovative research leading to new discoveries and treatments in the fight against pediatric cancer.
