In Case No One Told You Today…

Hi First name / Slothies!

My current book stack is chef’s kiss.

One of the standouts has been The Gap and The Gain—and whew, has it been calling me out. The gist is this: most of us measure success by looking at how far we haven’t gotten yet (the gap), instead of how far we’ve come (the gain). And when you live in the gap, you’ll always feel behind, no matter how much you’ve accomplished.

What I love about this book is that it doesn’t force toxic positivity on you.

It’s not saying “just be happy all the time.”

It’s saying: yes, you’ll have negative thoughts, yes, you’ll hit rough days, but here’s how to shift out of it faster so you don’t stay stuck.

Practical, dare I say savvy, strategies that actually work in the real world. My kind of book.

And here’s where it really hit me—ambitious women like us were basically raised to live in the gap.

Always reaching, striving, holding ourselves to goals that were never realistic to begin with. Then we crash out, have a menty b, and hit burnout; only then do we try to learn healthier habits.

But honestly? Wouldn’t it make more sense to start from a place that’s sustainable and freeing now?

It’s the last weekend of summer, and I know the “fall panic” is about to kick in.

The end-of-year push, the self-imposed deadlines, the feeling that you’re already behind.

So let me say this LOUD and CLEAR:

you are not behind, you are not late, and most of those timelines you’re chasing aren’t even real.

Here’s what I want you to do next time that meany in your head says otherwise:
  1. 📝 Brain dump everything coming your way—not to take on more, but to get it out of your head.
  2. ✨ Look at it and ask yourself, “Is this even sustainable for me to carry?”
  3. 🙋🏽‍♀️ And if the answer is no, start building your team—whether that’s subscriptions, services, people, or just routines that make life lighter.
Because your goals aren’t facts or requirements, they’re just directions.

The path will zig, zag, twist, and double back—but if you go in knowing that, you honestly can’t fail.

You will get where you’re going. The secret is to let it happen in a way that actually works for you.

You’ve got this—on your side always! 🦥💛

XOXO,
Renee
What’s New “Under the Canopy”
This one goes out to all my ambitious ladies!!

We dream big. ✨ Careers, businesses, personal growth—you name it, we want it all. But here’s the thing no one warns you about: sometimes those sky-high expectations set us up for burnout instead of success. This week’s blog breaks down why setting realistic expectations is so tough, the cost of chasing goals that don’t fit your real life, and practical ways to keep your drive without losing your energy or joy.

What’s New at Savvy
I’ve been working behind the scenes on something I’m so excited about—my brand new guide, Organize It Once. 🎉

It’s designed to help you finally set up organizing systems that last (no more re-doing the same space every few months).

My beta testers are in the thick of reviewing right now, and I’ll be sharing more updates with you next week as we get closer to launch week (Sept 8!). Stay tuned—this one’s going to make your life a whole lot lighter.
