Policy Roundtable: Linking Local Needs with Dutch Goals
Earlier this summer, NFP hosted its annual Policy Roundtable, convening stakeholders from embassies, ministries, civil society, research, and the private sector. Participants worked in country tables to explore how Dutch food systems policy can better align with the realities and priorities of LMIC partners.
The outcomes are now being shared with Dutch embassies to inform their Multi-Annual Country Strategies, ensuring that locally defined needs directly shape Dutch international cooperation.

Food Security & Stability Library: A Decade of Insights
After nearly a decade of collaborative learning, the Community of Practice on Food Security & Stability is coming to a close, but our work on this topic will not. To ensure its legacy, NFP has compiled a library of insights covering conflict sensitivity, governance, market-based approaches, and adaptive programming, and more. If your work touches the topic of food security and stability, there is something here for you.

Water–Food–Biodiversity Nexus at Stockholm World Water Week
At Stockholm World Water Week 2025, NFP co-hosted a session on the Water–Food–Biodiversity Nexus with NWP, WUR, and LVVN. Speakers highlighted how green water, robust data, and nature-based solutions can strengthen both water and food security.
The discussion called for breaking silos between water, food, and biodiversity, and for stronger governance and investment to accelerate solutions at scale.
💡 Key takeaway: Integrated action on water, food, and biodiversity is essential for resilience in a changing climate.

NFP at the Africa Food Systems Forum Dakar
The embassy of the Netherlands and NFP have organized the Dutch Pavilion at AFSF.  While the event itself is still going on, reports so far indicate a lot of interest and excitement on site. This is likely thanks to the launch of Food for All, a serious board game in which players must collaborate via informal and formal businesses to achieve food security for all. Developed together with Kucheza, Moveer, SNV, and the Wageningen University Gaming Hub, early testers have described it as a fun and engaging way to learn about the different perspectives that make up the food economy.
Curious to try it yourself? Food for All will also be part of NFP World Food Day!
