We are so excited to announce our 12th Annual Winter Showcase, Magic in Motion! This special holiday tradition is one of the highlights of our year and a wonderful way to kick off the season together as a dance family.

 

Each class will be learning a dance during regular class time and practicing it each week in preparation for the showcase. Dancers will be sized in class, and a costume will be selected for them. For Winter Showcase, we use a 3-in-1 costume, which allows for multiple looks and a smoother backstage experience. Once we get closer to the performances, we’ll share details about how each class will wear their costume.

 

Why We Love This Tradition
Winter Showcase is truly one of the most magical parts of our season. There’s nothing like seeing your dancer shine on stage around the holidays — it brings joy to families, fills the theater with energy, and really sets the tone for the holiday spirit. Whether it’s your child’s first time performing or their tenth, this showcase is a memory-making experience you won’t want to miss.

🎃HALLOWEEN DRESS UP WEEK!👻

Get ready to show off your spookiest, silliest, or sparkliest costumes at Dixon Dance Studio from October 24–30! Dancers are welcome to wear their Halloween best to class (as long as you can still move safely!) and join in the festive fun.

 

✨ Reminder: The studio will be closed on Halloween Day, October 31, so enjoy trick-or-treating and have a safe, fun night!

FALL FESTIVALS & HEART WALK 2025

Our DDS Dance Company has been busy spreading joy through dance this fall, and the season isn’t over yet!

First up, thank you to everyone who came out to cheer for us at the Dixon Montessori Fall Festival and the Sacramento Heart Walk in September — our dancers loved sharing the stage with the community.

✨ LADM - January 2026✨

We’re excited to announce that DDS will be attending LA Dance Magic (LADM) in Santa Clara, March 13–15, 2026!

LADM is a weekend-long dance convention open to dancers ages 4 and up — a unique opportunity for dancers of all levels to learn from industry professionals in a variety of styles. Participants will work on technique, performance presence, and stage skills while having a blast with their fellow dancers.

This convention also kicks off our competition season, so it’s a fantastic way to prepare and get inspired for the year ahead!

Reminder! 🎉 Dixon Dance Studio will remain open on Monday, October 13 for Columbus Day. All classes will run on their regular schedule—see you in the studio!

🍂 Thanksgiving Break 🦃

Dixon Dance Studio will be closed November 24–30 for Thanksgiving Break. We hope you enjoy this time with your loved ones, filled with gratitude, laughter, and maybe even a little dancing around the kitchen!
